Liverpool and Chelsea have both emerged as potential suitors for Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Napoli is reportedly open to selling Kvaratskhelia this month, as contract renewal talks have stalled. Paris Saint-Germain is believed to be exploring a deal worth around €80m (£67.1m) for the winger.
Manchester United was recently linked with a potential swap deal with Napoli, involving Marcus Rashford moving to Italy in exchange for Kvaratskhelia.
The news of Kvaratskhelia’s availability has caught many by surprise, and according to The Athletic, it has sparked interest from both Liverpool and Chelsea. Although neither club is actively seeking a winger at the moment, the possibility of acquiring a long-term transfer target has prompted both teams to evaluate their options.
A key factor in the growing interest is Napoli’s reasonable asking price. While €80m is a substantial fee, it is considered good value for a 23-year-old player who was named Serie A’s Player of the Season during Napoli’s title-winning campaign in 2022/23.
Interestingly, Napoli is said to be eyeing Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa as a potential replacement for Kvaratskhelia, while Chelsea’s Cesare Casadei has also caught the attention of the Serie A side.
