Nollywood actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji, has shared details about his life before and after becoming famous.
In a tearful interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the gifted actor revealed how the Yoruba film business trainer predicted his failure within a year. According to the movie star, he told the man to wait two years and see what he would develop into.
Lateef also talked about how he contacted his wife to pop the question and how she gets branded “barren” and harassed online. Adedimeji also described how Lisabi let him down after promising to help him when he started working on his project. He was fortunate to have his wife by his side, who gave him more self-assurance.
“Someone once told me in the Yoruba movie industry that he gave me one year to see what I would become. I told him to give me two years and he will see what I will become.
My wife and I have received a lot of trolls. Recently, someone called her barren on social media. She would always show it to me and would say they would be all right.
I just called her one morning and asked if she would marry me and she said Yes.
When I wanted to do my first big screen job, Lisabi, I realized that everybody that I felt would stand by me was not there; there was nobody”.
