Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign Mamadou Sarr from BlueCo group club Strasbourg ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The news was confirmed by renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a tweet on Monday.
According to Romano, the 19-year-old center-back has agreed to join the Premier League side, with a deal valued at €15 million, including add-ons.
“Chelsea agree to sign Mamadou Sarr from BlueCo group club Strasbourg for next season (25/26),” Romano tweeted. “Package worth €15m with add-ons included. Deal set to be sealed, as reported by @FabriceHawkins. The 2005-born center-back has already agreed to the move.”
Sarr, who represents France’s Under-19 team, joined Strasbourg from Lyon in 2024. He has also gained experience during a loan spell with Belgian club RWD Molenbeek.
The highly-rated defender is expected to add depth to Chelsea’s backline as the club continues to invest in young talent.
