Khabirah Kafidipe, a Nigerian actress and producer, has revealed plans for a new movie that will promote unity among Muslims and preach the word of Islam.
On Sunday, the 44-year-old actress announced the news on social media, expressing her enthusiasm for the project while omitting the movie’s title.
“Assalamu alaikum, dear brothers and sisters! We’re excited to announce our next Dawah film project, aimed at spreading the message of Islam and inspiring Muslims worldwide,” Khabirah wrote.
She revealed that the film will premiere for free on YouTube after Ramadan, ensuring accessibility for a global audience.
As preparations for the shoot, set for February 25, are underway, Khabirah appealed for public support to bring the project to life.
“We’re reaching out to ask for your contribution to help us have a successful production. Every contribution counts, no matter how small!” she added, providing bank details for donations.
Khabirah Kafidipe, popularly known as Araparegangan for her role in the 1999 Tunde Kelani classic Saworoide, has had a prolific career in the Nigerian film industry. She has appeared in notable productions such as Agogo Eewo, The Campus Queen, The Narrow Path, Arugba, Iwalewa, Dazzling Mirage and The Seed.
Beyond her acting career, Khabirah is dedicated to promoting Islamic values through her company, Karfycomm Dawah Group. The group produces films, organises lectures and hosts exhibitions to propagate the Islamic faith.
Karfycomm premiered its first Dawah film, A Date with Asmau, in 2020, followed by He Promised Us Gifts in 2023.
