Rangers defender Leon Balogun has shared the essential ingredients that could lead the Super Eagles to victory at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles last claimed the continental title 12 years ago in South Africa.
In the most recent edition of the tournament in Côte d’Ivoire, the West Africans finished as runners-up.
Balogun emphasized that for Nigeria to lift the trophy in Morocco, the team must display ambition, confidence, and a clear strategy.
“The AFCON is a tournament, and the goal is to win. Every team enters with ambition,” Balogun told Flashscore.com. “Nigeria, after the last AFCON, definitely has a point to prove. So, it’s crucial to approach it with ambition, confidence, and a solid plan.”
The Super Eagles are placed in Group C alongside North African powerhouses Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania. Nigeria will kick off their campaign against Tanzania on Tuesday, December 23.
