Ansu Fati’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has downplayed concerns about a rift between his client and Barcelona manager Hansi Flick but remained tight-lipped about the forward’s future at the club.
Fati has struggled with injuries over the past five years, and even when fit this season, has often found himself sidelined. Flick gave the talented forward a rare Champions League appearance against Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-final first leg earlier this month, stating that Fati “deserved to come on” as Barcelona secured a 4-0 win at home.
However, Fati was left on the bench during Barcelona’s 3-1 loss to Celta Vigo last weekend, as the club’s title hopes hung by a thread. The Spain international, along with two other players, was criticized for his frustrated reaction as his teammates mounted an unlikely comeback.

Flick, instead of downplaying the issue, addressed it directly. When Mendes was asked about Fati’s situation by El Chiringuito, he responded, “He’s fine. He’s fine. Everything’s fine.” But when the discussion turned to Fati’s potential transfer, Mendes was less certain, stating, “I don’t know yet.”
Reports suggest that Fati has come to terms with the fact that his future lies away from Barcelona. The former Sevilla youth player spent last season on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion but struggled to make an impact, limiting interest from other Premier League clubs.
There have been rumors linking him to Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, while ambitious Serie B side Como have also been mentioned. However, Cesc Fabregas has poured cold water on these reports.
