The former AC Milan star believes Los Blancos often struggle when Rodrygo is off his game, emphasizing the 24-year-old’s growing influence in the team.

Speaking to SPORT (via Madrid Universal), Cafu said:
“When Rodrygo plays, Vinícius works, Valverde too, the same with Mbappé and also with Bellingham. When Rodrygo is not very well, Real Madrid have a lot of difficulty articulating the plays. He has become a fundamental piece.”
Rodrygo has contributed 13 goals and 10 assists across all competitions this season. He joined Real Madrid from Santos in 2019.
