Nine clubs have already been eliminated from this season’s UEFA Champions League before the final round of fixtures, with no chance of progressing to the knockout stages regardless of their results.
The eliminated teams are: Bologna, Sparta Prague, RB Leipzig, Girona, Red Star Belgrade, Sturm Graz, Salzburg, Slovan Bratislava, and Young Boys.
Bologna sit 28th in the league phase, having collected just five points from their matches. Sparta Prague are in 29th with four points and a -12 goal difference.
Girona, Red Star Belgrade, Sturm Graz, and Salzburg all have three points each, while Slovan Bratislava and Young Boys are yet to secure a single win, occupying the bottom two spots in the standings.
Meanwhile, Manchester City, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Dinamo Zagreb remain at risk of elimination heading into the final matchday.
