Chelsea kept their hopes of a top-five Premier League finish alive with a 1-0 win over Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Nicolas Jackson scored the only goal of the match, netting his tenth of the season with a superb strike from outside the box—his first goal since December. The strike capped a dominant first-half performance, although Chelsea could have easily been further ahead.
Everton showed some fight after the break, with Beto coming close to equalizing during one of their rare attacks. However, Chelsea looked the more likely to add a second, and Noni Madueke was unlucky not to score after a series of dangerous runs.

Jackson had a late second goal ruled out for offside, but it was his early strike that proved enough.
The win lifts Chelsea to fourth in the Premier League, just one point behind third-placed Manchester City.
