Liverpool manager Arne Slot was one of three individuals sent off following a fiery conclusion to their 2-2 draw at Everton on Wednesday night.
The Reds looked set to secure all three points after Mohamed Salah reacted quickly inside the box to fire past Jordan Pickford.
Everton had taken the lead early in the final Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park through Beto, but just four minutes later, Alexis MacAllister headed in the equalizer, and both sides went into the break level.
In the dying moments, James Tarkowski struck a stunning 98th-minute volley to level the game at 2-2.
Tempers flared after the final whistle, with Abdoulaye Doucoure and Curtis Jones both shown red cards following a heated confrontation. Slot was also sent off for his protests towards referee Michael Oliver.
Doucoure will be unavailable for Everton’s next league match against Crystal Palace, while Slot and Jones will serve suspensions for Liverpool’s upcoming clash with Wolves this weekend.
