Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has highlighted the best defensive and attacking teams in the Premier League.
Arteta made his comments after his side’s 1-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday, where Mikel Merino’s first-half goal secured all three points for the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.
The victory leaves Arsenal 12 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool after 29 matches.
In his post-match interview, Arteta praised his team’s defense, calling Arsenal one of the best defensive teams in the world, while also acknowledging Chelsea as the top attacking team in the league.
“In defending, we are one of the best teams in the world today. We were unbelievable,” Arteta said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano. “We conceded almost nothing apart from a strange save from David Raya. Big credit, because in my opinion, Chelsea are the best attacking team in the league.”
Arsenal’s next match is against Fulham on April 1.
