Chelsea fans have urged the Premier League to investigate co-owner Todd Boehly’s connections to a ticket resale site that lists seats for thousands of dollars above face value.
Boehly is listed as a board member of Vivid Seats, which the Premier League has labeled an “unauthorized ticket website,” advising fans to “exercise extreme caution” when using it.
The Chelsea Supporters Trust has issued an open letter to Premier League CEO Richard Masters, calling for an investigation. In their statement, they argued that Vivid Seats continues to sell Premier League tickets at inflated prices, which they believe constitutes a breach of trust and a clear conflict of interest due to Boehly’s involvement.
The Trust further emphasized that this situation undermines efforts by Chelsea FC, the Premier League, and the Metropolitan Police to combat ticket touting (scalping), and that Vivid Seats violates Chelsea FC’s ticketing policy while being explicitly named by the Premier League as an unauthorized site.
