Liverpool’s title charge hit a setback as they were defeated 3-2 by Fulham on Sunday.
The hosts had a penalty appeal turned down before Liverpool took the lead against the run of play. Alexis MacAllister surged forward and fired a shot past Bernd Leno to give the Reds the advantage.
However, Fulham quickly turned the game around, scoring three goals before halftime. Ryan Sessegnon unleashed a stunning first-time volley, followed by goals from Alex Iwobi and Rodrigo Muniz.
Liverpool responded in the second half when Conor Bradley assisted Luis Diaz, who pulled one back with nearly 20 minutes remaining. Despite their efforts, Fulham held on to secure all three points.
Liverpool remain top of the Premier League with 73 points from 31 matches, 11 points clear of Arsenal. They need a maximum of 11 points from their final seven games to clinch the title.
Fulham climbed to eighth with 48 points, just three behind fifth-placed Manchester City, a position that could secure a Champions League spot for next season.
