Popular Yoruba film star and activist Yomi Fabiyi has disclosed what actor Baba Ijesa, who is presently on trial from the Lagos State government, told him about his alleged harassment of a teenage girl. He also disclosed what the two of them were doing together when they were captured on camera in the same room.
In a video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of Wasilacoded TV during an interview, he explained that he went to visit actor Baba Ijesa in police custody, and he confessed to him that he never had any affair with the girl, saying that he was asked to touch her when they were on a movie set.
In his statement, he said, “I decided to visit Baba Ijesa at police custody, and I asked him some questions when the police brought him out to speak with me. I made him realise that it’s very important for him to confess to me so that I would be able to help him regain his freedom.
Baba Ijesa told me that he didn’t sleep with the girl, but he touched her body on a movie set. He told me that he was invited for a movie role by actress Princess, and she told me to teach the young girl how to act in a romantic movie, not knowing that Princess had set me up with a camera.”
