Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe’s daughter, Michelle Gentry, has taken to her Instagram page to show her pride in her mother and her first cinema job.
Expressing how she is thrilled to see all the love and positive reviews for her film, Ada Omo Daddy. Michelle also noted how Mercy Aigbe persevered through the difficulties and put her heart into it.
Michelle added that the film meant so much to Mercy Aigbe and it tells a story that has impacted so many lives. She expressed how grateful she is to see it resonating with people and urged them to keep streaming and supporting.
“I’m so happy to see all the love and positive reviews for this movie! I’m incredibly proud of my mom for her first cinema job—she poured her heart into this with so much resilience, even through all the challenges. Taking to her comment section, Mercy appreciated her daughter for the sweet words. She wrote, “Thank you, love”.
Mercy Aigbe had also received praise from her husband, Kazim Adeoti, hours prior. As the Netflix run of their first Cinema film, Ada Omo Daddy, came to an end, he praised her fortitude, grandeur, tenacity, and achievement. He said that the results were remarkable and that they had a terrific run at the Cinemas.
Remember Mercy Aigbe’s initial foray into filmmaking with Ada Omo Daddy? It was a hit among Nigerians. When her film earned $187 million and became the third most grossing film, the movie actress was unable to remain composed. This was a significant accomplishment, particularly in light of the opposition from Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele.
