Nadal officially retired in November after his final match at the Davis Cup in Malaga.
“The truth is, I don’t miss tennis. Not at all,” Nadal told reporters. “But it’s not because I finished on bad terms with tennis or grew tired of it—quite the opposite.”
“I ended my career content, and if I could have continued, I would have, because it was my passion. It always has been. It’s just that when you reach a point where your body can no longer keep up… you have to close that chapter. And I have.”
