Iyabo Ojo, a Nollywood actress, has finally responded to rumors that she is the creator of the well-known anonymous site Gistlover.
She asked how she could be behind the blog and still drag herself and her daughter on the same blog in an interview with Ayo Makun on his podcast, Glass House. Iyabo disclosed that she discovered that the blogger was receiving false information from others close to her.
“How would I be Gistlover and I’d drag myself and my daughter on that same blog. When Gistlover was dragging me, I found out it was the people close to me sending the wrong information to the blogger”.
For years, people tried to untangle the identity of the brain behind the anonymous blog.
The faces behind Gistlover were revealed by controversial investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo to be Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh. According to her, they were identified as Gistlover by an IRT police officer.
According to actor Yomi Fabiyi, two actresses were important members of the syndicate. Because she is a twin, he said, one is a Diaspora actress who got her name from the line OBA from “Edunjobi Oba Oma,” while the other is a well-known Yoruba actress who is close to Iyabo Ojo and has almost become her archenemy. But he clarified that Iyabo isn’t a Gistlover.
