Yoruba Nollywood actress, Biola Fowosere, commonly known as Abebi Ibadan, recounted an unexpected encounter she experienced during her trip overseas.
In an interview with Ojopagogo TV, the actress talked about how a married man who knew she was famous helped to make sure she was comfortable while she was abroad.
Fowosere, who had traveled abroad with limited resources, found herself in a dilemma after her packed Nigerian foodstuffs, including Egusi, Dried Fish, and Garri, were confiscated at the airport.
Struggling with the absence of familiar food and limited funds, she was concerned about how she would obtain Nigerian dishes without spending all the money she had brought along.

However, during her time abroad, Fowosere crossed paths with a man who recognized her from her roles in Nollywood films. The man, a married individual, quickly took an interest in ensuring that she would not have to worry about finding Nigerian food.
Despite having a wife back home, he provided the actress with different types of Nigerian dishes, helping her maintain a sense of comfort and connection to her culture.
Throughout her stay, the married man made sure Fowosere did not go without familiar meals, sparing her from spending her remaining funds on food. His gesture, although coming from an unexpected source, alleviated a potential challenge the actress had faced upon arriving in the foreign country.
She said: “I wanted to travel abroad. During preparation, I packed different types of Nigerian foodstuffs in my luggage, such as Egusi, Dried Fish, and Garri. However, when we arrived at the airport, all the foodstuffs I packed were removed from my luggage. When I got to the country, I started wondering how I was going to get Nigerian food without spending all the money I had with me. Then, I met a married man who recognized my face from my movies. He was happy to see me and told me not to worry about getting Nigerian dishes. Despite the fact that this man was married and had a wife at home, he welcomed me. Throughout my stay abroad, this married man fed me different types of Nigerian dishes, and I didn’t spend any of the money I took along.”
