Nollywood producer and actress and queen of box office Funke Akindele who is currently on vacation in Ghana, released a video of herself and her friends while narrating her humble upbringing and how she used to borrow clothing to look elegant in movies.
The producer disclosed that she used to borrow clothes from her colleague, Sikiratu Sindodo, to look classy on movie sets.
However, Iyabo and Tayo stepped in, urging producers to cast them. Funke recalled how Iyabo bought her food and drove her around in a stylish red car, while Tayo generously gave Eniola some of her clothes.
Funke Akindele also expressed her gratitude to colleague Iyabo Ojo for helping her gain feet in the movie industry and also gaining recognition.
However, Funke noted that while Iyabo has always defended others, she now takes her battles to social media.
It would recalled that Funke Akindele made headlines after she appeared as number on the Nigeria Box Office ranking for 2024 as the highest-grossing lead actress with her movie “Everyone Loves Jenifa”.
According to reports shared, Funke’s new movie was worth N1,125 billion.
