Yoruba actor Tunde Dickson also talked about how several of his film colleagues saved his life the day he was set to face charges. In addition to sharing one of the most trying times in his filmmaking career,
In an interview video that was uploaded to Kunleafod TV’s official YouTube account, he revealed that when he left a movie set to get smokes, the police caught him and placed him in a cell.
In his statement, he said, “Film making is an interesting job, but there are a lot of risks involved as well. One day, I was in a movie location, and I already told the movie producer that I would leave the movie location on the second day, and he agreed with me, but I already brought somebody else that would continue the job for me.
I was arrested and put into a cell by police when I left a movie set to buy cigarette. I was arrested alongside over 120 people, and they didn’t allow me to call my movie colleagues, and they insisted that we would be charged in court.
It was Foluke Daramola and the late Moji Olaiya who came to meet the police, and I was released on the day they took others to court.”
