Nafisat Abolade, a Yoruba actress, talked about her experience working for an actor on a film set who failed to pay her for the work she did. She also explained why she was unable to confront him about it.
In a video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of Oyinmomo TV during an interview, she disclosed that she worked for an actor on a movie set but that he did not pay her for the job and that she could not ask him for the money.
In her statement, she said, “When I joined the Yoruba movie industry, I was accepted and welcomed by the actors. One of the challenges I have had in the movie industry is when I was still trying to make myself known to the people, and I worked for free for some actors.
I worked for an actor on a movie set, but he didn’t pay me, and I can’t challenge him. What I discovered is that it is impossible to be paid the same amount that’s been paid to popular actors when you are still a newbie in the movie industry.”
