Comic Yoruba actor, Ijoba Lande has stirred up controversy on the internet by criticizing Funke Akindele, a senior colleague.
In a video that has gone viral, Lande told how Funke hired him to work on a movie at Amen Estate, where he was paid N90,000 for a month.
Recall that Ijoba Lande recently made headlines over infidelity claims involving his wife and Nollywood actors, which he opened up about in a recent interview.
Advising upcoming actors, he told them not to see any top actor as god as he revealed that he has learnt his lessons and will now give charges to anyone who calls him for a job.
“There was a time Funke Akindele called me for a movie production at Amen Estate, and we spent one month there. I was shocked when she gave me N90,000 after spending one month. I will advise the upcoming actors never to see any top actor as god. I have learnt my lessons. I will give my charges to anyone who wants to call me for any job now before going to the location. When she called me, I was too excited to tell her how much I would charge only to be paid N90k after one month”.
A rumored report from 2023 claimed that Funke had persuaded media tycoon Mo Abudu to remove Toyin from Chief Daddy’s film and replace her with Kate Henshaw. Mo gave in to the pressure. The writer went on to say that Funke did the same to Beverly Osu, trying to get Mo Abudu to decast her in a film, but Joke Silva stepped in and saved her. When Cutie Julls learned about the problem, she said it nearly resulted in a fight between Beverly and Funke.
