Ibrahim Chatta, a well-known Yoruba actor, has disclosed one of the causes of his four-month inability to pay his employees’ salaries.
In a video that was posted on the official Instagram page of Ibrahimchatta_lordthespis, he explained that he has forty-two staff working for him but that he has not been able to pay their salaries for four months, saying that the Nigerian government needs to make use of our natural resources to make the country work for everyone.
In his statement, he said, “I have 42 staff working for me, but I’m sad that I haven’t paid their salaries for 4 months now. I know some people would abuse me, but I’m not saying this because I want people to pay the salary of my staff for me, I’m just saying it so that people will know that things aren’t easy everywhere right now. Most of the jobs I do for people in the Yoruba movie industry are free, and I charge little money from some of my friends too.”
