Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed rumours suggesting he has already decided to leave the club at the end of this season.
Spanish radio station Onda Cero reported on Monday that Ancelotti had made up his mind to depart, regardless of how the rest of the season unfolds. However, the Italian coach, whose contract with Madrid runs until 2026, addressed these claims in a press conference.
“No. I want to be very clear. I won’t decide when I leave this club,” Ancelotti stated. “I know that day will come, but I don’t know when. I won’t make that decision. It could be tomorrow, after the next game, in a year, or in five years.”
Currently, Real Madrid sit at the top of La Liga, two points ahead of Atletico Madrid and seven points clear of Barcelona. The club has already secured two trophies this season—the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
