Sunday’s derby ended in a 0-0 draw as Manchester United and Manchester City shared the spoils at Old Trafford.
The match lacked quality for much of the first half, but things improved after the break as both teams created some promising chances. Phil Foden and Joshua Zirkzee had the best opportunities for their respective sides, but neither could find the finishing touch to claim victory.
For United, the draw leaves Ruben Amorim’s side in 13th place, moving back above Tottenham Hotspur after their 3-1 win over Southampton earlier in the day.
For City, this will feel like a missed chance to break into the top four, with their hopes of surpassing Chelsea falling short. They remain in fifth, one point behind the Blues and two ahead of Newcastle United, who have two games in hand.
