Real Betis have reportedly submitted an improved bid to sign Manchester United winger Antony on loan.
The £82m signing has fallen down the pecking order this season, initially under former manager Erik ten Hag and now under Ruben Amorim, who has favored young talent Amad Diallo. Antony has struggled to secure regular playing time and is now available for transfer.
Betis emerged as frontrunners for the Brazilian earlier this month but faced challenges due to the high cost of the loan deal, even with United agreeing to cover part of his wages. According to Spanish outlet ABC de Sevilla, Betis’ second bid is closer to meeting United’s terms.
United are open to subsidizing Antony’s wages but are seeking assurances regarding his playing time. The club wants him to have ample opportunities to boost his value ahead of a potential permanent transfer.
Antony is reportedly eager to move to Spain and has prioritized a switch to Betis, who can offer the added incentive of UEFA Conference League football.
In addition, United are managing interest in another winger, Alejandro Garnacho. Napoli recently had a bid rejected, and Chelsea have also expressed interest in the Argentine starlet.
