Mohamed Salah surpassed Arsenal icon Thierry Henry in the Premier League’s all-time scoring list after finding the net in Liverpool’s 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town.
Salah scored Liverpool’s second goal in Saturday’s dominant win, bringing his Premier League tally to 176 goals in 285 appearances, combining his time with both Liverpool and his previous club, Chelsea.
This goal moves him up to seventh in the league’s all-time rankings, overtaking Henry, who finished his Premier League career with 175 goals from 258 games.
Salah will now target Frank Lampard’s tally of 177 goals, with former strikers Sergio Aguero (184) and Andy Cole (187) potentially in his sights. Salah is in exceptional form this season, and his goal-scoring prowess continues to rise.
Additionally, his strike against Ipswich was his 100th Premier League goal at Anfield. Since the competition began in 1992, no other player has come close to reaching a century of home goals for Liverpool, with Robbie Fowler holding the closest mark at 85.
