Popular Yoruba actress Zainab Bakare talked candidly about the difficulties her relationship had because of her work in movies.
In a video posted on Debbie Show TV’s official YouTube channel, Bakare disclosed that her boyfriend had made a surprising offer in an attempt to persuade her to quit filmmaking.
She revealed that he offered her money so she would stop acting, expressing discomfort with the intimate scenes she shares with male actors.
“My man offered me money to quit filmmaking; he said he doesn’t like seeing actors kissing me,” Bakare explained. However, the actress made it clear that she would not abandon her passion for film that had been part of her life long before their relationship began.
“I told him I can’t quit my filmmaking profession because I was already an actress when he met me,” she asserted. In a bold stance for both personal and professional integrity, Bakare continued, “I told him that the only condition that could make me stop filmmaking is if he can also quit his job, and both of us will always be at home together.”
