In a charity match, Burkina Faso’s President Ibrahim Traoré teamed up with football legends Jay-Jay Okocha and Emmanuel Adebayor, along with other African football icons, to showcase their skills on the field.
The event brought together a stellar lineup of players, including Burkina Faso’s captain Charles Kaboré, Senegal’s Souleymane Diawara and Mamadou Niang, Togo’s Emmanuel Adebayor and Mani Sapol, Nigeria’s Jay-Jay Okocha, and Stéphane M’Bia.
President Ibrahim Traoré, leading his team, delivered an exciting display of skill. Former players like Okocha, Niang, Adebayor, and Nacoulma impressed with their timeless abilities.
The match saw an early lead for the President’s team, with Commander Basile Zongo scoring in the 11th minute. Traoré quickly followed with a powerful cross-shot four minutes later. Despite strong performances from Mamadou Niang, who scored in the 17th minute, and Moumouni Dagano, who added another in the 55th minute, Traoré remained unstoppable, netting goals in the 22nd and 47th minutes.
The Presidential team claimed an emphatic 8-2 victory, with Traoré completing a hat-trick to seal the win.
