Turkish journalist Cem Dizdar has raised concerns about Victor Osimhen’s future at Galatasaray, claiming that the player’s representatives are not being entirely transparent with the club.
Osimhen, 26, is currently on loan from Napoli and is expected to make a permanent move in the summer. Galatasaray is eager to secure his services but will face competition from top European clubs such as Manchester United and Juventus, who are also interested in the striker.
Dizdar noted that although Osimhen has expressed his love for Galatasaray, evident from his decision to turn down offers in the January transfer window, his representatives have not been as clear about the player’s intentions for the future. He suggested that this reluctance to openly commit indicates they are leaving their options open.
The journalist also stated that Osimhen is not irreplaceable, pointing to the fact that Galatasaray was able to bring him to the club in the first place as proof that they could find a replacement if needed.
“Osimhen’s manager has been talking too much,” Dizdar said, according to GsGazette. “When a manager talks too much, it often means there’s more going on behind the scenes. He’s hiding things from us, but the truth will come out soon.”
He further added, “Players like Osimhen suit big clubs like Galatasaray, but they always need to have a plan B. Nobody thought Osimhen would replace Icardi, but Galatasaray did. They will think of an alternative to Osimhen as well.”
As reported by Pulse Sports, Juventus and Manchester United are currently the frontrunners for Osimhen’s signature, but Chelsea, who were in advanced talks with the Nigerian last summer, could also re-enter the race.
