Former Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has turned down the opportunity to become the new manager of Turkish Super Lig club Kayserispor.
According to the Portuguese news outlet A Bola, Peseiro made this decision after discussions with Kayserispor officials. The 64-year-old’s choice may be influenced by the club’s current struggles.

Kayserispor is enduring a financial crisis and is without a win in their last five games (four losses and one draw). The club is currently in 17th place in the league with 16 points and has been banned from registering new players for the next three transfer windows.
Peseiro has been a free agent since leaving his position with the Super Eagles in February 2024.
