Carlo Ancelotti clearly demanded more from his team after the break, and Kylian Mbappe delivered just five minutes into the second half. Jude Bellingham’s close-range strike was deflected back to him, and he provided a perfect assist for Mbappe to slot in the equalizer.
Bellingham almost put Real Madrid ahead shortly after, hitting the crossbar with a header, followed by another attempt that forced a smart save from Jan Oblak. Oblak also denied efforts from Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo as Real Madrid pushed for a late winner, ensuring Atletico left with a point.
