Ryan Gravenberch has no intention of leaving Liverpool for Real Madrid, despite recent comments from his agent suggesting otherwise, according to new reports.
The Dutch midfielder has enjoyed a standout season, anchoring Liverpool’s midfield with consistency and starting every Premier League game in a title-chasing campaign. His agent, Jose Fortes, recently sparked transfer rumors by saying Gravenberch was “good enough” for Real Madrid and added, “We would love for him to play for them.”
However, Mail Sport now reports that Fortes’ remarks were taken out of context. The comments were reportedly a personal reflection on Madrid’s global appeal rather than an indication of the player’s ambitions. Sources close to the situation insist Gravenberch has no plans to leave Anfield, offering a major boost to Liverpool as they look to solidify their squad.
Gravenberch, under contract until 2028, has developed a strong relationship with manager Arne Slot and remains focused on his role in the team. “The coach gives me confidence and sets me up,” Gravenberch told ESPN. “We think the same way—he likes football and building from the back, which suits me perfectly.”
Similarly, Alexis Mac Allister—another key piece of Liverpool’s midfield—was linked with Real Madrid following ambiguous comments from his father, Carlos. He has since clarified that Mac Allister is happy at Liverpool and fully committed to his contract, which also runs until 2028.
With both players reaffirming their futures, Liverpool can look ahead with confidence as they continue building toward sustained success.
