Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly given his approval for a transfer to Real Madrid in 2025, according to MARCA.
With just six months remaining on his contract, Alexander-Arnold has emerged as Madrid’s top transfer target. The Spanish giants recently failed in their attempts to secure a cut-price deal in January and are now preparing for one last approach before the transfer window closes.
While a January move remains uncertain, MARCA reports that Madrid are confident of Alexander-Arnold’s interest, claiming the England international has already “said yes” to the move. If Liverpool decline to sell now, Madrid are prepared to wait until the summer to sign him on a free transfer.
Despite Madrid’s willingness to wait, a summer deal appears more likely. Neither Liverpool nor Alexander-Arnold are keen to disrupt the Reds’ push for the Premier League title.
Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has been informed that Alexander-Arnold is the club’s sole January target. Should Liverpool refuse to sell, Real Madrid are expected to sit out the rest of the transfer window and finalize the deal in the summer.
