Victor Osimhen has emphasized that Galatasaray must keep pushing for a third consecutive Turkish Super Lig title and cannot afford to ease up.
The Yellow and Reds secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Alanyaspor at GAIN Park Stadium on Sunday, extending their lead at the top of the table to seven points over Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce, who have a game in hand.
Osimhen scored the decisive goal for Galatasaray in the win and stressed the importance of maintaining their focus for the remainder of the season.
“First, I want to congratulate the team and thank our fans. We wouldn’t have had the energy to secure these three points without their support,” Osimhen said. “We weren’t great in the first half, but we managed to improve in the second. We know every match from now until the end of the season will be tough and feel like a final. We will continue to push and maintain our momentum,” he added on the club’s official website.
The Nigerian forward has been in exceptional form this season, scoring 22 goals and providing 5 assists in 29 appearances for Galatasaray.
