Victor Osimhen admitted that Galatasaray lacked intensity in the first half of their Turkish Super Lig match against Hatayspor, which ended in a 1-1 draw on Friday night.
Osimhen scored for Galatasaray in the 56th minute with a penalty, but he felt the team struggled in the opening 45 minutes, only improving after the break.
“There was a bit of a lack of intensity in the first half. We allowed the opponent to play a bit. Then, after our coach’s speech, we started the second half much better,” Osimhen said in an interview with the club’s official website.
“We increased our intensity and focused more on our game. Matches like these are difficult, and we need to stay focused. We need to take advantage of every opportunity. We missed many chances, but we’ll learn from our mistakes and aim to do better.”
So far this season, Osimhen has scored 14 goals and provided six assists across all competitions for Galatasaray.
