Turkish pundit Erman Toroğlu has stated that Victor Osimhen is not as good as his injured Galatasaray teammate Mauro Icardi.
Toroğlu’s comment comes after Osimhen’s impressive performance in Galatasaray’s Super Lig match against Çaykur Rizespor, where he scored twice.
Speaking on the Vole YouTube channel via habersarikirmizi, the former defender asserted that Icardi is the superior striker.
“Victor Osimhen single-handedly won the Çaykur Rizespor match. You can score goals like that in Turkey, but you won’t get the same chances in Europe. I hope he can show that kind of performance in Europe,” Toroğlu said.
“Osimhen is fast, but he’s not on the level of Mauro Icardi. Icardi is on a different level. He’s a natural finisher, composed, and always manages to find space.”
Osimhen has scored 19 goals and provided five assists in 24 appearances across all competitions for Galatasaray.
